The Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media (http://tism.msu.edu) is made up of an interdisciplinary community of faculty and students, all sharing a common desire to understand and apply media and information technologies for the benefit of society. Our faculty members are among the most productive researchers in the field, and infuse their courses with the latest findings. Faculty specializing in games, video, audio, 3D/VR, HCI, and multimedia constitute the media arts faculty (http://dmat.msu.edu), work alongside social effects, policy, business, economics, and information system scholars. 

TISM offers an interdisciplinary undergraduate specialization in game design and development (http://gamedesign.msu.edu) and a serious games design track (http://seriousgames.msu.edu) in its M.A. program.
